I needed to address the blazing sun heating up the Western exposure of my house by installing external vertical shades. These folks know exactly what is needed and how to do it. They are professional, friendly and efficient. Even when I had a problem after installation, they immediately came out and made the adjustment to my satisfaction.

Don and his two men (Serg & Chris) were incredible to work with. They're fast & efficient. Not only are they gentleman, but they cater to your needs & wants. We had them re-build our 900+ sq ft covered awning & it came out better than we could have ever imagined. These men take pride in their work. They were ALWAYS on time, cleaned up their work, very kind, & funny. Would definitely recommend them to everyone I know who has an awning that needs updating or any type of work! Don's is the best. They installed patio covers and several drop shades for me about 6 years years ago, which look as good now as the day they were installed. This is in spite of the beating sun and blasting wind that we have in Lincoln. Don has been in the business for over 30 years and I am always running into my neighbors who are also his customers, and everyone has great things to say about him and his professional service. This is the 3rd time I have had a patio cover built and never have I been so impressed!

When I started looking for a company to build my patio cover, I called and asked several to come give me bids. Don called me back the same day, scheduled a meeting for a couple of days later, arrived promptly and provided a bid on the spot. His bid included options (ceiling fans, drop shades, metal quality).

He thoroughly explained the options and their warranty. We chose the higher quality product that he sells since we plan on staying in our property a long time. The extra cost is well worth the added value and warranty. Our cover is beautiful and includes a large fully covered portion along with a lattice edge and 2 ceiling fans.

Chris and Sergei were always on time, very nice and professional, cleaned up at the end of each night and completed the job very quickly (2.5 days). Don called to make sure everything was going well the first day and followed up after the job was completed by coming out in person to collect the final payment after making sure I didn't have any questions and was happy. He even followed up with a Thank You card a few days later which is so rare these days.

We love our patio cover and expect many years of worry free enjoyment. We highly recommend Don's Awnings.

WOW! Who knew finding a reputable, reliable Patio Cover contractor would be so daunting?

My wife and I interviewed several contractors (half of which we had talked to at various home shows), and the bids were all over the map, in addition, some of the companies really came across shady (permits optional?). Others seamed to be very solid and professional, but never provided us a final bid, or returned our calls, or their bids were so ridiculous, they clearly did not want our business. We have worked on several projects that required the use of contractors over the last 14 years, and none could have prepared us for this.

I am so glad, we found Don. Solid work, attention to detail, very quality build. Yes, Don was not the cheapest, nor the most expensive, but he and his crew really provided a quality install, on a project that required a lot of extra planning/work, as the install was for a paver patio, not a concrete patio. In addition, he was the only contractor we interviewed, that also offered the Metals USA product, in addition to Duralume, which we ended up choosing, and could not be happier with.

We relied on Don's expertise and experience when it came to the final details on our own idea of what we wanted, and his suggestions helped make the final product just perfect.

Don also worked/coordinated with my Paver installer (LR Landscaping), something that was necessary for this type of project, and could not have been as successful, without.
